Coming 21st
of January the 44th International Film Festival Rotterdam will take place, and
will last till the 1st of February. At this festival there’ll be films,
workshops, short films, multiple parties and exciting premières! Enough to do!
Even though
the official program is not yet online, there is already a lot on their website
what will be going on this year. The ticket sale will start this Friday the 16th
of January, so be on time!
Workshop
A workshop
like this one, is not the most common one you can have. The workshop teaches
you to learn how to make a good propaganda film. Filmmaker Anna Broinowski will
give the workshop, since she herself got tutored in North Korea by experts. On
the spot you’ll make your own propaganda film. Experience is not needed at all,
so everybody can join in!
Volkskrantday
It’s become a tradition: the Volkskrantday on the final day
of the festival. This day five
films will be played back to back, on different locations in the center of
Rotterdam. This is only for the die-hard film lovers, because the day will last
from 10.00 am to 22.00 pm. The program will stay secret until the day before!
Mind the
Gap Nights
The Mind
the Gap Nights are organized for the third year in a row. These nights are a
mix between the IFFR, the magazine Gonzo, located in Worm Rotterdam. Everyday there’ll
be different musicians, video artists and filmmakers, to give you an
unforgettable evening.
Of course
this is not all that the festival has to offer, but it does give an indication
of the diversity of this festival!
