Market hall Rotterdam

We’re counting the days till the official opening of the Market Hal of Rotterdam! Who's acquainted with the idea of a roofed in market, will be blown away by this model. On the first of October queen Maxima will officially open the market building!

The building will contain the largest roofed in Fresh Food Market of Europe. The 12000 m2 will contain 100 Fresh Units, 15 Food shops, 8 restaurants, 228 apartments and a parking garage for 1200 cars. The place to be for the real foodies!  

Also art lovers will feel right at home. Fitting with the theme of the market hal the artwork, covering the whole inside of the market, will display a range of fresh products sold in the hall. Presented as a contemporary edition of the well-known still lifes from 17-century Holland, Arno Coenen, used photo-like 3D-images to accomplish this enormous work .

But that’s not all what the market hall can offer you! The 228 rent- and buy- apartments are located in the center of the city. Within 5 minutes you can walk to the Koopgoot and from the apartments you have a lovely view over the Maas or the Laurenschurch. These apartments really are one of a kind.
